WEST REGION TROPHY INFORMATION & INSTRUCTIONS
A West Region trophy will be available to any NCCC competitor beginning in competition year 2002. It will be a cumulative record of your trophy results for the year.
This trophy will consist of a plaque of your choice (to be purchased later by each competitor) with engraved event plates. Competitors will have the option at each event registration to decide whether or not to participate for a trophy plate in the WR trophy program for that weekend. Participation will cost only $3 per weekend, NOT per event. We have tried to make this as economical as possible for all who wish to participate.
If you choose to participate in the WR trophy program for the weekend, you will receive an engraved plate later on that shows your trophy placing in each event. You will only receive an engraved plate if you finish high enough to qualify for a trophy per the NCCC rulebook. This is no different than the regular event trophy program available at event registrations.
Later on in the competition year, each competitor will be given the opportunity to purchase a plaque. The engraved plates you have received through out the year will go on this plaque. Your trophy plates will all be displayed on one plaque. Information on the plaques and how to purchase them can be found on the West Region web site.
Each club must make the WR trophy option available on their registration forms at the cost of $3 for the weekend..
This procedure should ensure that your plates arrive in a timely
manner and that they have on them what you wanted.
The plates are to be ordered from the vendor listed below and you should e-mail your order
as show below. By using e-mail and you describing what you want on the plate, the vendor
can then cut & paste from your e-mail to his plate-etching program. This should
eliminate mistakes and mis-interpitations of what you wanted on the plates.
Of the 24 clubs in the West Region, only one club governor does not have e-mail, so you
all should be able to e-mail your plate orders to the vendor. In the case of Walter Day
from the South Winds Corvette Club, I would hope that there would be a club member in that
club that could do the e-mail for Walter, if not Walter please let me know.
